The renting levels of offices in Bulgaria are stable. This is shown by the yearly report of ‘Cushman and Wakefield' for office surfaces in the world for 2007. Sofia continues to be the most preferred place for tenants of offices in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, the attention toward the other big cities in Bulgaria increases as many new office projects have been realized. Bulgaria ranks 51 in the ranking of most expensive countries for 2007 with levels of monthly rent in Sofia of 19 EUR square meter. The ‘Cushman & Wakefiled' report also shows that the market in Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia will offer not enough office surfaces to satisfy the present demanding. 8, 000 tourists are expected to visit the Northern seaside ‘Albena' resort during the Easter holidays, May 1 and the Day of St. George (Gergiovden). That was announced by the vice-director of the resort Sonya Stoycheva. The guests will be mainly from Romania. Round 500 Bulgarian tourists are also expected. 12 hotels will be opened during the holidays. 2,000 Romanians arrive in ‘Albena' yet on Good Friday and reservations will be made during the weekend also. ‘Albena' resort has prepared surprise for its guests on Easter Eve. Night cruises to churches in near Balchik and Varna cities will be organized, so that the tourists could attend the interesting and picturesque Orthodox Church service. more
Overseas property investors could be set to benefit from growing tourism in Bulgaria. According to the Novinite news agency, the eastern European country is becoming especially popular with holidaymakers from Ireland. Petar Kandilarov, governor of Varna, was quoted as saying that the number of Irish visitors could possibly double in 2008. This is likely to be a positive development for owners of rental accommodation in popular Bulgarian holiday resorts such as Bansko. Increased tourist numbers will lead to greater demand for temporary lodgings across the country, which in turn allows investors to collect higher returns. Mall Varna, the second mall in the Black Sea city of Varna, will open its doors to customers on June 12 with a four-day grand opening programme, the shopping centre said in a media statement on its website on May 21. It will allow 100 people, picked through a lottery on its website, a sneak preview two days earlier. The new mall will sport 100 stores, some belonging to brands that chose the location to open their first outlet in the country, according to the statement. It also has a Piccadilly supermarket, an Arena cinema with 1300 seats, 10 bowling lanes, a children entertainment centre and an indoor skating rink.
