'albena' Resort Expects 10% More Tourists From Ex - Soviet Republics 27/03/2008
‘Albena' seaside resort expects the summer tourists from ex - Soviet republics to be the biggest market share. The resort will attract 10% more tourists from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and other countries compared to 2007, as this expectations are based over the shown interest towards ‘Albena' on the tourist expo in Moscow in March. 28, 000 tourists from the former Soviet republics have spent their vacations in the Black sea resort as they have realized more 280, 000 nights in 2007. Bulgaria Takes Part In Belorussian Tourism Expo 11/04/2008
Bulgaria is taking part of International Tourism Expo ‘Rest - 2008' in Minsk, Belarus. The show starts on Thursday and will continue till Saturday - April 12, reported from State Agency of Tourism (SAT). This is the biggest tourism expo in the Baltic country and this year will be its 11th edition. Last year the event was attended by all big Belorussian tour operators, Ministers, tourism organizations and foreign companies interested into the Belorussian market with a total number of 160 firms from 18 countries. Polls taken in Belarus in the last years show that tourists there place Bulgaria at one of the first positions as preferable destination for summer rest. more

Property Prices In Bulgaria Rise Significantly 07/03/2008
The Bulgarian property market has returned to tendencies from two to three years ago, when increasing numbers of people bought terrains few kilometres off big seaside cities. In 2004 this tendency led to property price inflation. Many people back then purchased large properties for personal needs at cheaper prices. Land has now become more expensive and owners started re-selling, tempted by the prospects of easy money, 24 Chassa reported. Bulgarians Took Over 2,5 Billion Eur Loans For One Year 06/06/2008
For a period of one year Bulgarians took 5,213 billion BGN (2,5 billion EUR) new loans. This was announced after data of Bulgarian National Bank (BNB). The growth in loans (residential, mortgage and consumers) for citizens and households by the end of April 2008 is 56%. The mortgage credits are overtaking the consumer ones, and if three years ago their part was 26,5% from the allocated for citizens and households loans, currently is almost 46%. The annual jump of consumer loans by the end of April this year is more than 52%, and those of firms - over 56%. The mortgage credits in Bulgaria by the end of the spring month are slowly increasing - 61%, compared to the 77% growth last year. more
