Bulgarian properties in the mountains
The mountains in Bulgaria have a spectacular beauty, own character and indigenous culture. Historically, the mountains have been the cradle of Bulgarian identity, culture and literature.
This is also the home of Bulgaria’s popular ski resorts. The main areas for property-buyers are Bansko in the Pirin Mountains, Pamporovo in the Rhodope Mountains, and Borovets in the Rila mountains. A fourth resort is located just above Sofia in the Vitosha mountains.
Anyone thinking about buying in the ski resorts or mountain areas in Bulgaria should bare in mind the wider opportunities of year-round tourism as all reosrts are located in natural reserves or national parks.
