The average price of land in the centre of Sofia increased by 1.07 per cent in April, the national real estate company Foros said. Prices reached 1 700 euro per sq m, which is the highest average price for land in Sofia so far, investor.bg reported. Second ranks the region near Sofia’s Medical Academy, where land prices reached 1 394 euro per sq m. Third is the residential district Zona B19 with prices of 1 268 euro per sq m. Razsadnika is another residential area in Sofia, where prices exceed 1 000 euro per sq m. It appears that attempts to ready Bulgaria for EU accession are gaining momentum, with tourism and property investment at the forefront of much that is being done. With the ski season coming to an end, attention is now turning to the stunning Black Sea regions and the authorities in Bulgaria have been busy working on measures to maximise the potential of the already popular resorts.
