Dutchmen Invests 36 Mln Eur For Building A Mall In Blagoevgrad 13/06/2008
Private Dutch company ‘Redstone' plans to invest 36 million EUR in the construction sites of a trade centre - mall in the city of Blagoevgrad (South Western Bulgaria). The open area of the project foresees to be 20,000 sq m and the parking lot will posses with round 600 park places. From ‘Redstone' expect the mall will open doors in the beginning of 2011, as the main tenantry in there will be elite international and local trade marks. more

The Directorate For National Construction Supervision Examined 9 919 Sites In 2007 14/03/2008
The Directorate for National Construction Supervision (DNCS) checked 9 919 building sites in 2007, examining the legitimacy of ongoing works, the availability of building permits as well as construction and habitation certificates, according to the DNCS’s annual report, cited by investor.bg. The Directorate issued a total of 2 472 acts, certifying contraventions of the Spatial Development Act. Subsequent legal proceedings have already been launched, the report said. The total number of complaints and alerts, submitted to DNCS last year, totalled 75 052, 18 083 of which were submitted with the central department and 56 969 with the regional arms. Construction Season In Bulgarias Sunny Beach Begins 12/03/2008
New construction season in the coastal resort of Sunny Beach began on October 15 2007. Only two or three hotels will be constructed in the eastern part of the resort, while in the western part, nearly 20 new buildings will be erected. Elena Ivanova, representative of the union of owners, said that the next municipal council of Nessebar would have to enforce the order from the current mayor for construction to be halted on May 1 2008. The union of the owners said that if construction would not stop on May 1, the tourist season would be delayed. Ivanova said that in 2007, the first charter flights arrived a month after the official opening of the season, making the summer season shorter for tour-operators and hotel owners. Bulgaria Pays Off Six Loans To Ebrd Ahead Of Terms 26/03/2008
On Tuesday, March 25 was realized operation on paying off six loans to European Bank for Reconstructions and Development (EBRD) ahead of term. The loans were on the amount of 266,9 million EUR and $12,8 million, along with the due interests, reported from the Finance Ministry. Similar transactions of paying loans to the EBRD were accomplished in the first half of 2006 and in the beginning of 2006. The paying ahead of term was realized counting the prognosis for execution of the state budget in 2008 and the level of the fiscal reserve. The operation leads to decrease of the loans measures and to improvement of its interest structure. more
