Pamporovo Resort To Invest 13m Leva In Ski Lift 10/03/2008
Pamporovo AD, the company that manages Pamporovo resort in Bulgaria, plans to extend its ski area to the village of Stoikite with the construction of three-kilometre six-seater chair lift. It has already received the environmental impact assessment from the environment ministry and estimates the costs of the project at 13 million leva, investor.bg said. The lift will service two new ski runs with a total length of seven kilometres, which will be built in 2008. The project is part of the wider plans to connect the ski zones in Chepelare, Pamporovo and Perelik, investor.bg said. To make the new ski runs more attractive to tourists, the company also plans to invest in a villa settlement in Stoikite. Holidaymakers Look At Exchange Rates 21/04/2008
Exchange rate movements are becoming more of an issue to holidaymakers, industry analysts have revealed. According to currency specialist Travelex, leisure travellers are becoming "increasingly savvy" with regards to financial fluctuations and taking them into account when booking trips abroad. John Nicholas, director of the organisation, said that this has led to people travelling to places where they can get more for their money. This has become particularly apparent in recent weeks, as the pound has fallen to a record low against the euro, which means general expenses in eurozone countries will cost much more. Mr Nicholas commented: "People [are looking] outside the traditional eurozone holiday hotspots to make their money go further this summer." He highlighted eastern... more

Bulgarias Condominium Legislation Draft Flawed Expert 10/03/2008
The draft bill of Bulgaria's Condominium Act is ineffective and has been written in such a way as to serve the interests of heat, electricity and water utility companies, professor Vladimir Petrov from the Civil Association against Corruption and Illegal Construction said, as quoted by Dnevnik daily. According to Petrov, the draft law in its current form aimed to deprive properties from owners who do not pay their utility fees. If the draft law is approved by the Government, the heat, water and electricity utility companies will sign a single contract with the whole building as a legal entity and not separate contracts with each individual. If some tenants do not pay their utility fees, the amount they owed would be distributed among the rest of the residents. The draft law... more

Spa Complex Project Started In Varshets 20/03/2008
The first dig of a new investment project in the Bulgarian town of Varshets was made on Monday, informed News.bg. SPA Resort Park will be built on an area of 5000 sq m. situated in the city center next to the park. The investors from Stascommerce Invest will build a SPA complex will include: 4-star hotel, SPA Center on more than 1500 sq m. and 42 holiday apartments., 72 double rooms, 9 apartments, lobby bar, European and national restaurant, multifunctional congress center with 120 places, business center, kindergarten, night bar, dental and medical cabinets.
