Construction In Bulgarias Protected Coastal Regions Continues 14/03/2008
Terrains in the wild coastal region Irakli were offered for sale on the websites of various property companies, inspection of mediapool.bg reported. Houses in vacation complexes were offered for sale on the web. Ads present buildings in close proximity to the beach in some of the last wild Black Sea coastal areas. Over the weekend thousands of Bulgarians signed a petition in favour of protective measures and limited construction in the Irakli region. More than 6000 people have already signed the petition, organisers of the protest said. It aims at protecting Irakli and eight other coastal areas from over-construction. On June 30 the Nessebar municipality is expected to take a decision concerning construction works in the wild coastal areas. more

200million Euro Golf Course To Emerge At Bulgarias Coast 12/03/2008
Local company Kabland will invest 194.43 million euro for the construction of a year-round first-class golf and entertainment complex near the town of Kableshkovo, in the coastal municipality of Pomorie. The first sod of the complex, Black Sea Golf and Country Club, would be turned on October 24 2007, Monitor daily reported. The club will have buildings for seasonal and contemporary stay and will spread on more than 1.9 million sq m. Its will also have a golf course with 18 holes, according to international standards, a four or five-star hotel of 200 rooms, golf and tennis academies, swimming pools, villas, spa and sports centres, shops and restaurants. Transport Minister, Vidin Mayor To Monitor Construction Of Danube Bridge 2 25/03/2008
Bulgaria's transport ministry and Vidin town hall would hold monthly panels to monitor the progress of Danube Bridge 2, which will link the Bulgarian town to Calafat in Romania, Transport minister Petar Moutafchiev and Vidin mayor Roumen Vidov agreed on March 24, Focus news agency reported. “It is not time for policy but time for real action,” Moutafchiev said, adding that despite the project being agreed for some time, nothing has been made to start construction before he took office in 2005. The project was too complex for any single institution to deal with on its own and would require co-operation between central and local government to meet the stipulated deadlines, Moutafchiev said. “I hope that building works will complete by 2010,” he added. Winslow Gardens Turned First Sod On April 23 24/04/2008
The first sod was turned on the Winslow Gardens residential project in Sofia's Manastirski Livadi borough, investor.bg reported. With this, developer investment firm Winslow Developments, starts work on the first stage of the gated community, which will cost 105 million leva and is scheduled for completion in mid-2010. The complex, with an area exceeding 2 000 sq m, will embrace six low-rise buildings, housing 444 apartments, a two-level underground car park, a spa centre with a fitness hall and a 25-metre-long swimming pool, basketball and mini-football grounds and a 12 000 sq m park.
