Firms Compete For Ministerial Buildings Repairs 30/04/2008
Three candidates are vying to execute repair works on ministerial buildings, Investor.bg reported on April 25. The candidates have applied for participation under the Ministry of State Administration and Administrative Reform’s (MSAAR) public order “Repairs, constructions and installations works in buildings, holiday and recreational bases, developments and farms in Bulgaria”. The firms are as follows: Elitstroy 2005 EOOD, EKSA AD and the consortium BKK-Terakom, MSAAR said. In terms of weighing up their offers, the Ministry will consider the following issues: 60 per cent importance is given to the price the candidate offers, 20 per cent is given to the terms of execution of the work and the other remaining 20 per cent considers the experience and the reputation of the applicant... more

Lidl Buys Plot In Pazardjik For Supermarket 17/07/2008
The local unit of German retailer Lidl has won a competition for a 4892 sq m plot of municipal land in Pazardjik, southern Bulgaria. The company plans for the supermarket to have a built-up area of 1500 sq m and 70 parking spaces.Lidl Bulgaria upped its bid on the plot to 1.722 million leva from the initial offer of 1.5 million leva. The company is to build the supermarket in nine months. Spa Tourism Potential Hikes Property Prices In Bulgarian Resorts 14/03/2008
Growing interest in the construction of spa centres resulted in increased real estate prices in some popular Bulgarian spa resorts. Spa tourism remains relatively undeveloped but has considerable growth potential, 24 Chassa reported. At present the most profitable investment was buying hotel in a spa region, the newspaper said. According to imot.bg, Velingrad was the town with highest spa hotel development potential. The town offers over 20 hotels at an average price of 675 euro a sq m. Buildings in need of additional repair work are usually sold for 250 euro a sq m. Pomorie offers the most inexpensive hotels with average prices around 600 euro a sq m. Apart from hotels, investors show interest in purchasing old houses later renovated into small but high-quality spa centres.... more
