Investment in British property offered higher return rates and lower risk than a similar deal concluded in Bulgaria, representatives of the British consultancy agency Assetz said. On Friday October 27 the agency presented research on the property investment opportunities in Bulgaria, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. In the past months the situation in Bulgaria began to change. The annual credit growth decreased significantly from 36 per cent in 2005 to 13.9 per cent in September 2006. Property Price Hike Expected In Bulgarias Plovdiv, Sliven And Yambol 12/03/2008
A growth in the price of property is expected in Plovdiv, Sliven and Yambol in 2007. The property market will fail registering record growth, Industry Watch representative Georgi Stoev said. In the end of 2006 economists predicted growth rate in the prices of property varying between 10 and 15 per cent. Developments in the beginning of 2007 confirmed these predictions, Focus news agency reported. Some Bulgarian cities registered steady growth in 2006 but the overall price increase remained within expectations, Stoev said. Major price hikes failed coming true, he said. Beach Concessions Up For Dispute 02/04/2008
Amendments to the law on beach concessions envisage Regional Development and Public Works Minister Assen Gagaouzov deciding which 100 coastal beaches would be given on concession or rented out. Not all 100 beaches on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast were given on concession, Dnevnik daily said. Most of them (60) were located in the Bourgas region. Parliament would vote on the amendments within a month. If amendments are late, the state could proclaim part of these beaches deserted or the concession tenders for the beaches in the resorts of St. Konstantin and Elena, Albena and Zlatni Pyasutsi (Golden Sands) may be delayed.
