Equest To Invest 40 M Euro In Ancient Town Construction In Bulgarias Sozopol 12/03/2008
Immofinance, part of the UK investment fund Equest, has launched the construction of a resort village two km to the south of the coastal town of Sozopol. The company will invest 40 million euro in the project, called Sozopolis, 24 Chassa daily reported. Sozopolis will span nearly 90 000 sq m, but the gross build up area will be only 34 000 sq m. Low buildings, green areas and a 1500 sq m spa centre with mineral water pools will feature in the complex. Government Gets Involved In The Green Building Concept Build Green Cee 25/04/2008
The Romanian government has only just started to involve itself in the green building concept but the new attitudes are gaining momentum. A host of Romanian public administration officials took the floor during the second and closing day of the Build Green CEE conference in Bucharest, Romania. At the example of the EU Directive 1992/01 on energy efficiency of buildings, Romania started drafting an action plan intended to cut Romania's building fund greenhouse gas emissions and energy users. The action plan is yet to be endorsed but will seek to regulatorily require all owners of buildings to implement measures such as thermal insulation of buildings' outer walls, as well as use more environmentally-friendly methods for heating and cooling homes. Sandanski Mall To Open This Month 11/04/2008
Sandanski Mall, the first multi-use shopping and entertainment centre in the town, will open in April 2008, developers Sandanski Property said on April 10, as quoted by investor.bg. The mall is in the town centre, near the park and Sandanski Hotel, the developer said. The three-storey building includes also a hotel, given that Sandanski is a popular tourist destination, which attracts one million people every year. The total built-up area of the mall is 4090 sq m, featuring a supermarket, restaurant, night-club and 29 stores. The mall also has a 100-car parking lot.
