Spaniards To Invest Millions In Alternative Energy Sources In Plovdiv 26/05/2008
The Spanish company ‘Ebame' will invest millions of EUR alternative energy sources in Plovdiv. The Spaniards intend to build solar parks and wind power plants. It appeared that the world famous ex footballer Hristo Stoichkov brought the company to Bulgaria. The foreigners will use Plovdiv land for the purpose - they will buy it or will use the variant for public-private partnership. Representatives of ‘Ebame' hold talks on Friday with the mayor of Plovdiv Slavcho Atanasov. After the meeting became clear that besides the power plants the Spaniards will invest in the city's infrastructure. The exact amount of the investments will be known after the company presents its project before the municipality. more

Seaside Sozopol Opens The Season 03/06/2008
The municipality of Sozopol coastal city opens the summer season on June 6, Irena Nikolova, chief of ‘Tourism' municipality department informed. She highlighted that priority for the municipality in relation with the infrastructural changes is the construction of purifying station for waste waters and the building of collectors. Change of the public lightening in the resort is also being considered, Nikolova added. The phaetons and the coastal train remain the most preferred attractions for tourists. New bus line, that will link the vacancy settlements of Diuni and Chernomorets just started on June 1. more

Bulgaria was the world's strongest property market in 2007 with an estimated turnover of 11.36 billion euro, an increase of 2.36 billion euro over the previous year, British property investment company Obelisk said on February 1. The previous lack of modern apartments, retail, and administrative buildings, as well as growing investment in tourism, production, and the need for modern infrastructure caused the construction boom. Construction sector growth is expected to be between 12% and 16% year on year until 2010, Obelisk said in a statement. The huge property price rise has been largely attributed to a good mortgage market, high annual revenue of properties and the weak impact of the global credit crunch on Bulgaria, since there is virtually no cross-border banking in the... more
