Only Five Per Cent Of Coastal Constructions In Bulgaia Illegal Minister 12/03/2008
Bulgarian National Assembly will vote on second reading coastal construction regulations. Regional Development and Public Works Deputy Minister Savin Kovachev said that only five per cent of the construction on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast was illegal. Ten to 15 per cent of the illegal buildings had already been torn down. Buildings constructed under the old law would not be demolished, Kovachev said as quoted by Darik Radio. The draft law defines the territory of Bulgaria's Black Sea coast and beach and the powers of the local authorities. Regulations would also guarantee free public access to the coast and environment protection, Darik said. more

The First German Tourists Arrived In Bulgaria 19/03/2008
For another year the first tourists that arrived on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are Germans. The specialists point that these "early guests" are regular visitors of Bulgaria attracted mainly by the familiar atmosphere here and for instance also by the possibility to be catered by same waiters every year. The number of the first German tourists is already 450 and they will celebrate the Ouster in Bulgaria. According to the tour operator firm „Kur-Club", the vacation in the beginning of the spring amounts to between € 1000 and 1600. Retail Chain C Amp;a To Enter Bulgaria In 2010 14/03/2008
Apparel retailer C&A, which manages some 1000 outlets across Europe, is hiring management staff for the launch of operations in Bulgaria, Dnevnik daily reported on March 12, quoting company sources. However, the first local C&A stores are not expected to roll out before 2010, the paper claimed. C&A is one of the largest clothes retailers in Europe, managing outlets in Latin America and China as well. Set up in The Netherlands in 1841, its biggest trademarks include Clockwise, Westbury and Your Sixth Sense.
