May have seemed an unlikely prospect just ten years ago, but the rapid development of the country's economic foundations has led to a booming business centre in the capital city. Vacancy rates for Class A and Class B offices in Sofia fell in the second half of last year, as the demand for business premises began to climb. It is generally accepted that it will take EU accession for Sofia to cement its place as a key European business capital, but there are clearly already signs of growth in the sector. 57 Construction Units At The Seaside Will Be Demolished 14/03/2008
Bulgaria's Directorate for National Construction Supervision (DNCS), which started inspecting the legality of completed and ongoing construction along the Black Sea coastline on February 25, has already issued orders for the demolition of 57 units. Twenty five of them are on the north coastline and 32  are along the southern coast, the institution announced on its website. Аccording to the Spatial Planning of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coastline Act, which entered into force on January 1 2008, all entities erecting illegal constructions on the beaches were obliged  to voluntarily demolish them within a month of the law coming into effect. New Ski Complex To Be Constructed In Bulgaria 12/03/2008
InvestBulgaria Agency approved a project for the construction of a ski complex in the Pirin Mountain town of Dobrinishte. Dobrinishte Ski received a first-class investor certificate on October 26. Once a company receives such certificate, it is entitled to state aid for the construction of some infrastructure needed for the project, mediapool.bg reported. The skiing area would be located in the area between Bezbog Peak and Dobrinishte. It is also located close to Bansko winter resort. In the coming three years the company would invest nearly 260 million leva in the project, mediapool.bg reported.
