Hotels Projects Receive Approval In Bulgarias Hisarya Spa Resort 11/03/2008
At least eight projects for hotel construction in Bulgaria's Hisarya spa resort have already received approval, Hisarya municipality said. The town is famous with its healing mineral springs, investor.bg reported. Bulgarian and foreign investors showed their interest in the town. Large plots feature among the most wanted terrains for the construction of hotels, spa centres and smaller vacation houses. Prices in the centre of the town reached 70 to 80 euro per sq m. The most attractive areas are the terrains close to the mineral springs and hotel Augusta. The new residential construction is offered at average prices of 800 euro per sq m. More and more people from the UK are likely to spend their retirement in another country, a newspaper has stated. Referring to recent research by NatWest International, the Telegraph said nearly two million Britons will have retired abroad by 2025. This has prompted the publication to dismiss predictions that the popularity of settling overseas will soon start to decline. "Any idea that the exodus from Britain of those settling abroad might be waning appears wildly premature," it commented. However, the Telegraph called upon older people to remember important issues such as their health and the quality of medical care in their new home. King Sturge In Talks With A Local Company To Land In Bulgaria 31/03/2008
UK-based international property advisory King Sturge, which declared its intention to enter the  Bulgarian market, as previously reported, has already chosen a local partner – ProCon International property consultants, Yani Stoimenov and Andreana Petkova, managing partners in the Bulgarian company, said in a media statement. The latter were the Bulgarian representatives of another consultancy – NAI Global, but they decided to put an end to their affiliation with NAI Global as of April 1. King Sturge has been surveying property market in Bulgaria for a year and a half now, meeting different advisory and intermediary companies, Stoimenov said. The Central Europen division of Global Principal Investment (GPI), Merrill Lynch's commercial real estate investment arm, plans to invest 550 million euro in real estate in Serbia, jointly with local firm MPC Properties, in which Merrill Lynch holds the minority stake, Reuters reported. Residential property market on the Balkans was blooming after the region’s recovery from the war and the subsequent stagnation in 1990s.
