Rupite - a small mountainous protected area 10-12 kilometers northeast of Petrich, on the right bank of the Struma River. It is best known as the place where the Bulgarian prophet Baba Vanga lived and was buried. The area is in fact the crater of an extinct volcano, its appearance being shaped by the volcanic hill of Kozhuh, the thermal springs and Pchelina Hill.Back in 1992 the prophet Baba Vanga built a temple-monument. Located in the famous Rose Valley, in an ideal central position in the Bulgarian picturesque village of Karavelovo, just 4 minutes walk from the village centre, and 15 minutes by car from the famous town of Karlovo, this potentially great house overlooks the Balkan mountains and an enchanting pine forest. There are also new electricity boxes, in both areas, and a new smart electricity box in the street which has automatic meter reading. You do not have to pay a standing charge for electricity of you are not here. The village of Karavelovo has a weekly market and a number of shops including a small supermarket open until 8pm, a post office, two hardware stores, and a medical center. It also boasts an excellent restaurant with a swimming pool and indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a small hotel. The roads by the house and in the village are fully accessible in winter. There are regular buses to the beautiful historic towns of Sopot and Karlovo, and there is also a train station at Karlovo, which is good for traveling to the capital, Sofia, to go to the airport. This house would make an ideal holiday home or a great place for all year living. It just needs some attention such as the tiles doing on the roof, and some cementing. If you love fresh air, a breathtaking panorama and nature, this is the place for you. The land value in this area is also good, as it is in such demand, making the house an excellent purchase for the very low price. The garden is a manageable size, and is completely surrounded by a beautiful natural stone wall. To have a new stone wall put up would be a few thousand euros.
