The Finnish Tourists Ignore Bulgaria 10/05/2008
The number of Finnish tourists in the last years decreases. The unpleasant tendency was commented by the Finland Ambassador to Bulgaria. In 2005 Bulgaria was visited by 90,000 Finnish people, while in 2007 their number decreased to 65,000. No matter that Bulgaria ranks third in attractive tourism destination according to the Finnish tourists. They like Bulgaria a lot, but also have very serious remarks about local services and loud resorts. The stock exchange between Bulgaria and Finland had increased three times more in the last 2 years, informed the Ambassador. He commented that despite the increase he is not satisfied by the exchange level, which counts $ 100 million per year. Golf Course To Be Constructed In Bulgarias Dolna Banya 11/03/2008
Golf Club Ibar, an investor in the Golf Club Ibar complex in the Bulgarian town of Dolna Banya, has received a first class investment certificate for its second golf complex in the country. The Ibar 2 project would be worth 106.5 million leva and constitute part of a wider plan for the economic development of Dolna Banya municipality, investor.bg reported. The project envisions an 18-hole golf course named Bears Best par 3. The course alone is worth 17.5 million leva. This was the first project of its kind in the world, the investors said. Varna - The "best" City For Living In Bulgaria 19/03/2008
The Black Sea city of Varna enjoys the best conditions for living and working in Bulgaria, according to a survey conducted by Darik Radio in association with Bulgarian language daily 24 Chassa. The research, conducted in October and November, ranked 35 Bulgarian cities according to 40 criteria. These included the availability of green areas, the number of kindergartens, road conditions, public access to wireless Internet, climate, investment, unemployment rate, recreational opportunities, cleanliness, signposting, facilities for disabled people, architecture, airport availability, parking and health service as well as the crime rate and various other benchmarks.
