Shops in malls currently under construction are being sold at 3000 euro per sq m, manager of the Bulgarian office of Estonian Arko Vara group, Rauni Tiliso said. Demand continued to outstrip supply on the Bulgarian housing market last year, fuelling a 30-per cent increase in residential prices, local real estate agency Foros said in its 2007 market overview. Central areas of large regional cities were suffering the greatest under-supply, sending buyers in search of options in the suburbs. The demand/supply gap has also been identified in the market research of other major property brokers like Address and Yavlena, Dnevnik daily reported on March 5. Kroushouna Village To Invest 28 Million Leva In Recreational Facilities 15/03/2008
Local authorities would invest 28 million leva in the construction of a spa centre and three recreational centres in the village of Kroushouna, in Lovech region in northern Bulgaria, the mayor of Letnitsa municipality Krassimir Djonev said, as quoted by expert.bg. The village of Kroushouna has become a popular alternative tourism destination with the Vodopada (Waterfall) cave, which resembles a water labyrinth, just 800m south of the village. The area has an abundance of mineral water springs that have not been really used, Djonev said.
