Residential property prices in Sofia saw the highest increase in the Iztok borough for the first six months of 2007. According to Colliers International consultancy agency, prices in the Iztok residential complex went up by 29 per cent in the first six months of 2007, investor.bg reported. The increase on an annual base was 51 per cent. As a result Iztok, became the second most-expensive residential district in Sofia after Doktorska Gradina, where the prices went up by 19 per cent over the fisrt six months of 2007, and by 13 per cent compared with the same period of 2006. The average residential purchase price in Iztok reached 1450 euro a sq m in the first six months of 2007, compared with slightly below 2000 euro a sq m in Doktorska Gradina (Doctors' Garden).... more

The prices of telephone calls from a fixed to a mobile phone are expected to decrease by up to 55% in the next two years.The connection between mobile networks is expected to decrease by up to 30%. These are forecasts by Industry Watch in a report of the Bulgarian telecommunications market, HiComm announced.The price decrease depends on the price decrease of the connection between the mobile operators. In mobile networks they are 2,4 times higher than the EU average, the report points out. The operators have a nearly 40% higher price for a phone call to a fixed telephone. The European Commission recommends that the national regulators put a price ceiling and expects up to 70% decrease of prices. Land Plots Worth 262m Euro Sold In Bulgaria In 2007 10/03/2008
Sales of land plots for construction in Bulgaria totalled 262 million euro last year, according to data of consultancy firm Real Capital Analytics (RCA), Pari daily reported on February 18 2008. The report includes data on the performance of office, retail, hotel, industrial space and buildings plots on real estate markets worldwide, but only for deals above 10 million US dollars. In Bulgaria, RCA registered 10 large-scale purchases of plots for the construction of office buildings, which accounts for more than 30 per cent of the big deals in the country.
