Agriculture Is The Riskiest Sector For A Fourth Consecutive Year 14/03/2008
A total of 240 Bulgarian companies registered for  bankruptcy last year, which is a 31 per cent mark-up on the previous year, according to the regular report of Coface, a world leading company in credit management. The agriculture and forestry sector heads the ranking, accounting for 22.5 per cent of declared insolvencies. Next comes the retail trade – accounting for 15.83 per cent – and then comes the construction industry with 6.25 per cent. The building sector is among the top three most hazardous industries in Bulgaria. Eu Entry Turns Bulgarias Resorts Into Hot Property Areas 12/03/2008
After Bulgaria’s EU accession the country became more than an attractive destination for holidaymakers. In addition it attracted an increasing number of foreigners keen on buying property, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) reported. Holiday homes worth from 400 to 2000 euro per sq m were ‘very attractive’ for foreign purchasers, DPA said. Some apartments located near the beach or ski lifts reached prices unseen before Bulgaria’s EU accession on January 1 2007. The prices went up by nearly 30 per cent just in the year before the country’s EU entry. Bulgarias Real Estate Expo Presents New Projects And Luxury Property 10/03/2008
The fifth edition of the largest real estate trade show in Bulgaria, Real Estate Expo, took place from October 20 to 22 in Sofia. More than 100 participants presented various opportunities for investment in real estate and information about the property market developments in Bulgaria. Participants also presented investment opportunities in France, Dubai, Italy, Germany, the US and the Caribbean region. Some bigger and more luxurious projects for property complexes, apartments, spa and golf resorts in Bansko, the Pirin Mountain region and in the Black Sea coastal resorts were presented.
