Entertainment Complex To Be Constructed Near Veliko Turnovo 04/06/2008
1 million BGN (0,5 million EUR) will be the investment for infrastructure in the central part of Veliko Turnovo's park Ksilifor, from the tourist association 'Trapezitza 1902' announced. The amount will be used for investments including forming of children spots, alleys, sport playgrounds, swimming pools and others. It is important all the projected facilities and new equipments will be conformed with the disabled persons. The lake in the park will be reconstructed with new technologies and all tracks will be widen according to the requirements for international competitions for training of foreign sportsmen. The project is expected to be completely realized to the end of the year as the idea already received approval of the Veliko Turnovo municipality. more

A number of factors are currently drawing people from the UK outside Europe and further afield, an expert has revealed. Francesca Ecsery of Cheapflights.co.uk told Travel Trade Gazette that exposure to other cultures was tempting Britons to explore different countries first-hand. For example, she stated that the popularity of many foreign recipes in the UK had encouraged people to check out the genuine article in its country of origin. Ms Ecsery added that current exchange rates were also influencing Britons' travel habits, as the pound and the euro are both quite strong. She commented: "Your money doesn't take you as far as it would further afield." British holidaymakers have been advised to consider travelling to Bulgaria by a national newspaper. According to the Times, the eastern European country offers a number of attractions which would appeal to the whole family. In addition, Bulgaria was said to be much more affordable than places such as Italy, Portugal, France and Spain. This is because the pound has slumped to a record low against the single European currency - falling by nearly a fifth in the last year. As a result, travelling to a country inside the eurozone may not offer the value for money Britons have enjoyed in the past. The Times commented: "It's been a bad year for the pound.
