More than four million sq m of vacation property are being constructed or planned in Bulgaria's resorts. In Blagoevgrad region, where the resorts of Banko, Razlog and Dobrinishte are situated, construction of more than a million sq m of vacation property was planned or launched, Yavlena real estate agency data show. The areas to be constructed were two times more than the figures for 2005, 24 Chassa daily said. Bourgas and Varna regions, where Bulgaria's biggest coastal resorts are situated, also saw an increase in the vacation areas to be built upon. Prices of property in Sofia will remain stable, while quality of construction and additional services offered will increase. Property purchasers are also to become more demanding. The property market in Sofia enters a ‘more mature’ phase, Colliers International short-term prediction said. Residential property supply is increasing and residential complexes of closed type are very popular, Colliers said. Construction of new luxurious property is most intense in Sofia’s southern districts, Lozenets, Vitosha, Manastirski Livadi and Bukston. Greeks To Buy 'carrefour' Project In Bulgaria 18/03/2008
Greek fund for investments in real estate Assos Capital bought the project of trade center ‘Carrefour Tsarigradsko' for about 200 million EUR, money.bg announced. The French chain sells the land and the constructing complex, but will stay in the project as tenant with their own hypermarket. The deal is one of the biggest with property for Bulgarian market. The French company intends to invest in other big projects in Bulgaria. The investment interest of ‘Carrefour' will be directed towards the projects round Central Railway Station about an investment in trade park. more

Ehotels Unites Six Hotels In A New Chain 10/03/2008
Ehotels, a new Bulgarian chain managed by Ambassador Tour company, presented its hotel portfolio on February 19 2008. The hotels and Ambassador Tours are both owned by Bourgas-based construction holding PONS. The chain now operates four hotels -- Snezhanka in Pamporovo resort, Perla in Slunchev Bryag (Sunny Beach), Diva in Chiflik village and Rodopski dom (Rhodopi home) in Chepelare. Another two will be associated soon: Knyaz Pavel in Pavel Banya in autumn 2008 and the newly-built Andromeda in Sunny Beach, expected join Ehotels in the summer. The Ukrainian property market has recorded remarkable rises in all its segments. Prices of retail, office and industrial areas have reached the highest levels in Central and East Europe (CEE) region, driven by lack of supply and increasing demand, Kyiv Post reported, cited by investor.bg.
