Money For Tourism And Ecology 03/06/2008
Bulgaria's Ministry of Environment and Waters support the tourism in the context of nature protection through observing of all environmental norms. This was stated by Minister Djevdet Chakurov at the second national conference ‘Money for Tourism and Ecology' that takes place in Sofia. According to the Minister on 'Environment' operative program had been allocated a financial frame on the amount of 1,800 million EUR. Priority for the eco-ministry is building of purifying stations for waste waters all over the Black sea coast. Round 167 municipalities had applied for such projects and the total amount of the declared projects in the water sector is 500 million EUR. The Minister highlighted that more efforts must be put in the separately waste collecting. more

Like other sectors of the property market, the office sector displayed stable growth during 2007.  Large cities - and Sofia in particular - remained the hub for most business investors. Cheap office rentals in major cities, such as the 12 euro a sq m charged in Business Park Sofia, would appear to be history. Spanish Company To Build Tourism Complex Near Sofia 14/03/2008
Spanish company Ferry Group plans to construct a sports and tourism complex near Sofia. The company purchased 881 000 sq m state-owned land in the village of Kutina, Darik Radio reported. Ferry Group paid six million leva for the land. Sofia regional governor Todor Modev said that the project fulfillment would bring another 300 million leva of investment and would create 2 000 work places. The complex will include a golf course, sports complex with pools and tennis courts, bungalows and commercial zone. Ferry group owner Manuel Ferry Sanchez said that the complex construction would probably begin in March 2007.
