Personal Data Exposure Not Needed Free For Parking 09/04/2008
People living in the centre of Sofia have been forced to leave their personal data exposed in their windscreen if they wanted to park for free in front of their homes in blue zones, or areas where parking is paid. According to a decision by Sofia city hall, people living where blue zones are in effect would not have to pay parking fees if they left a copy of their identity card or registration certificate behind the windscreen of their vehicle, Monitor daily reported. Bulgarian legislation reads that personal data is information on a person’s physical, psychological, mental, family, economic, cultural or social identity. Cba Asset Management Opens Veliko Turnovo Hypermarket 28/03/2008
The first hypermarket of the CBA Asset Management chain in Veliko Turnovo opened its doors on March 27 in Retail Park Veliko Turnovo, company officials told investor.bg. Technomarket, Danish homeware retailer JYSK and a number of other retail chains opened their outlets in the shopping centre on the same day. Investment in the hypermarket exceeds two million leva. The shop has 10 cash-register terminals and an own 80-car indoor parking. It will employ 80 people. The retail unit will be managed by CBA Asset Management's subsidiary in Veliko Turnovo, which has 15 supermarkets in the area, generating 44.7 million leva in operating revenue and a net profit of 1.4 million leva in 2007. Kayi To Build Serdika Centre 26/04/2008
Turkish developer Kayi was named as the main contractor of Serdika Centre commercial and business complex, Investor.bg reported. The site cited a news release from Sparkassen Immobilien AG, the real estate investment trust of Erste Bank, and the German investor and developer ECE Projekmanagement Bulgaria, the two investors in the project. Kayi is expected to hand the project over by 2010. ECE Projektmanagement and Kayi have already established a record of partnership, having jointly completed projects in other countries such as Lithuania. Currently, the centre, worth 210 million euro, is only at the digging-works phase. It will comprise 51 000 sq m of commercial area, about 200 luxury shops and 35 000 sq m of offices.
