Established European Markets Attract British Buyers 31/03/2008
Overseas property buyers from the UK are continuing to favour established European markets, according to experts. Assetz Finance stated that during the last few months, there has been a surge in the overall number of enquiries it received from prospective investors in foreign property. However, it singled out property in France and property in Spain as the two locations that were attracting the most interest. Commenting on this trend, Katy Hepworth of Assetz Finance said this could be partly due to the good deals now on offer to consumers. Specifically, she stated that French and Spanish mortgage lenders are now allowing access to a much wider range of products. Abb To Build 20m Plant In Plovdiv 18/05/2008
Swiss concern ABB gave the go-ahead to a project to build a $20 million (12.92 million euro) plant near Bulgaria’s second largest city Plovdiv, the concern said in a May 15 statement. The plant will become an internal supplier for ABB, which will manufacture automated components in other factories of the concern. The plant will spread on 35 000 sq m. Construction works are slated to start in October this year and to be completed by summer 2009. The new plant is expected to create 500 jobs by 2011. The project is expected to support ABB’s growth in the automated products’ segment, as well as expand its scope of low-voltage products.
