Masterbuild To Construct Villa Communities Near Pomorie 27/03/2008
The Bourgas-based building company Masterbuild Ltd will develop holiday complexes in the village of Kableshkovo and Medovo near Pomorie, company representatives said, as quoted by Dnevnik daily. The Medovo holiday community will cover a 100 000 sq m plot, embracing 64 residential buildings with housing units ranging from 95 to 214 sq m in size. The gross actual area of the compound is calculated at 16 500 sq m. Masterbuild representatives said that work on the Medovo compound should start in late March, once financing and planning approval issues are settled. Completion is expected by the end of 2010. Holidaymakers looking to save money on their summer holidays should consider taking a holiday in Bulgaria, it has been reported. According to Balkan Holdings, the eastern European holiday destination is much cheaper than many of its European counterparts. Chris Northam, managing director of Balkan Holdings, added that its popularity as a holiday destination stems from this very fact. "It's a lot less expensive - not just to buy property, but to enjoy your holiday or enjoy your retirement or whatever," commented Chris Northam, managing director of Balkan Holdings. It appears that attempts to ready Bulgaria for EU accession are gaining momentum, with tourism and property investment at the forefront of much that is being done. With the ski season coming to an end, attention is now turning to the stunning Black Sea regions and the authorities in Bulgaria have been busy working on measures to maximise the potential of the already popular resorts. Sofia's office space market registered another quarter of strong performance at the end of 2007, according to the latest MBL consultancy report. The number of class A and B offices continued to grow, amounting to 784 000 sq m as of the end of fourth quarter of 2007, after a new delivery of 48 350 sq m office areas, all of them in suburban areas, according to research from MBL. Provided data includes areas in single-tenant owner-occupied and speculative (developed as an investment product – aiming at subsequent sale/rent of the units for reaping profits) buildings, as well as in condominiums.
