Bulgaria will take part in the largest real estate exhibition SIMA starting May 29 in Madrid. Investors and real estate agencies will participate with projects worth over 400 million euro, Pari daily reported. Projects for two holiday villages feature among the largest developments to be presented at the expo. The first one is named Topola Village Resort, the construction of which will start in the summer of 2007. It will be located near the coastal towns of Kavarna and Balchik. The project envisions the construction of 500 luxurious family houses, hotels, sports facilities and the setting up of 75 000 sq m of alleys and streets. Public Works Minister Lobbies For Local Companies To Build Trakia Highway 14/03/2008
Bulgarian Trace Group, Patishta Holding and Glavbolgarstroy could be hired as subcontractors by the Bulgarian-Portuguese consortium picked to complete and operate the Trakia motorway under a concession arrangement, Regional Development and Public Works Minister Asen Gagauzov said on February 27, as quoted by Dnevnik daily. On December 16, 2004, the Government awarded the concession to Magistrali Trakia Jsc, a Portuguese-Bulgarian consortium, which has to build a 190km stretch and repair 162 km of the Trakia Highway, receiving in return the right to collect the road toll for 35 years. New Tourism Complex To Be Built In Bulgarias Sandanski 12/03/2008
Bulgaria’s tourism investment company Royal Holidays will construct a complex in the town of Sandanski. The complex, called Sun Dance, will be completed by the autumn of 2007, Dnevnik daily said. Its official opening will be held in October 2007. Sun Dance will consist of a four-star hotel and nearly 60 apartments located in 10 houses. The hotel will dispose of six one-bed rooms, 66 two-bed rooms and eight apartments, lobby bar, restaurant, conference centre, night bar, spa centre and casino. Each house will have six apartments, located on two floors, Dnevnik said. The apartments’ area will vary from 63 to 120 sq m.
