SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Bankruptcies in Bulgaria's construction sector are likely to increase by about 50 percent this year, global risk management consultancy Coface said last week. "We expect the risk in the construction sector to keep increasing, and the main reason is widespread and badly planned construction on the Black Sea coastline and in mountain resorts," Kamelia Popova, head of Coface's Bulgarian arm, told a news conference. Official data showed 15 construction companies went bankrupt in the Balkan country last year, out of a total of 240 bankruptcies, Coface officials said. Drop In Real Estates Deals In 2008 Expected 04/04/2008
Drop in the number of deals with real estates will be marked in 2008 prognosticates Dobromir Ganev, executive director of ‘Foros' property company. The decrease won't be drastic, explained Ganev. Reason for the future drop is the reviewed in the last 4-5 years considerable growth of property prices, the number of credits of properties and the bigger sums that the users drown. The foreseen increase of price is round 15%. Last year the properties were up with 30-35%.
