Serbias Delta Maxi To Open 10 Stores In Bulgaria 08/05/2008
By the end of the year Serbian Delta Maxi plans to open 10 new supermarkets in Bulgaria, as part of its regional expansion campaign, Serbian broadcaster B92 reported. Delta Maxi bought a majority stake in Bulgarian retail chain Piccadilly last year, at which point its CEO Dragan Filipovic said the company would invest 70 million euro in Bulgaria over the next two years. The group plans to open 10 new commercial sites in Serbia, eight in Montenegro and five in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company also plans to set foot in Albania, Macedonia and Ukraine. New 660m Euro Fund To Invest In Undervalued European Property 14/03/2008
British investment company Laxey Partners will set up a new fund, Terra Catalyst, which will invest in “undervalued” companies and property funds across Europe, company officials said in an interview with investor.bg. The new fund has raised about 160 million euro from institutional investors and will be listed on the alternative investment market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. The new entity will draw a loan from Credit Suisse to increase its investment volume to 660 million euro. It is intent on pouring most of its capital within six months after going public.
