Greeks Conquer Bulgarian Property Market 08/05/2008True Greek invasion is happening in the moment on the property market in Bulgaria in the last two years, comments the Greek business edition ‘Imerisia', quoted by local Investor.bg. There is an interest by constructional companies, mostly from North Greece, that build many residential complexes, trade centers and office buildings in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania and recently in Macedonia. All this is accompanied by individual investors that buy properties on cheap price, which give on loan after that or use for vacation. Despite the considerable increase of prices of real estates in Bulgaria lately, the properties are still considered as cheap for the Greek purchasers. Bulgarian Authorities Begin Illegal Construction Inspections 14/03/2008 Bulgaria's Directorate for National Construction Supervision (DNCS) started inspecting the legality of completed and ongoing construction along the Black Sea coastline on February 25, the institution announced on its website. Аccording to the Spatial Planning of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coastline Act, which entered into force on January 1 2008, all entities that have erected illegal constructions on the beaches are under the obligation to voluntarily demolish them within a month of the law going into effect. If they failed to do so, DNCS would order the buildings demolished. Two inspecting expert panels from the DNCS will be checking construction along the northern and the southern coastline until March 7.
