Morgan Stanley Looks Into Bulgarian Infrastructure Projects 14/05/2008
The infrastructure unit of international financial group Morgan Stanley is screening opportunities for investment in infrastructure projects in Bulgaria, company sources told Investor.bg on May 12. Morgan Stanley Infrastructure was interested in airports, ports, investments in the energy sector, telecommunications and social infrastructure, among others. According to Markus Hottenrott, executive director and head of Morgan Stanley Infrastructure’s European office, the bank was in preliminary talks with a score of local companies, but no deal has been signed to date. Morgan Stanley Infrastructure is generally joining forces with a local partner, strategic or financial, he said. Atlas Estates Fund Plans A 215million Euro Investment In Bulgaria 14/03/2008
Atlas Estates Fund has announced plans to invest 215 million euro in Bulgaria. The fund currently researches Bulgaria's investment potential. The fund would develop its own property projects rather than invest in exciting ones, investor.bg reports. Atlas Estates portfolio in Romania is valued at 192 million euro, in Slovakia at 30 million euro, in Hungary at 23 million euro and in Poland at 38 million euro. The total value of Atlas Estates' investments in all the CEE countries is 498 million euro. If Atlas Estates invests 215 million euro in Bulgaria this would be their largest investment. Last year Atlas Estates acquired an office building in Sofia for 7.3 million euro. The fund was set up at the beginning of 2006 and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange. more
