Plans For Underground Parking Lot Construction In Sofia 07/03/2008
Sofia municipality is planning to offer on concession the terrain below National Assembly Square. The terrain would be used for the construction of an underground parking lot, mediapool.bg reported. According to plan the plot would be given to a concessionaire for a 35-year period. A two-level parking lot would be constructed. Its capacity would be 203 vehicles. The potential investor would use own funds for the construction. The timeframe for completion of the construction works should not exceed two years.  Preliminary financial analysis shows the concessionaire would have to invest at least six million leva in the project. Property buyers from the UK now own homes in dozens of different countries, according to an industry expert. Broadcaster Amanda Lamb, who hosts Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, said there are now a significant number of British-owned houses in more than 50 nations. Investment property in Spain was flagged up as a particularly popular, along with Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Morocco and Egypt. However, she urged investors to remember that not all countries will offer the living standards they expect, as they are at various stages of development. Therefore, Ms Lamb has recommended that people look beyond cheap houses and find out what a country has to offer before committing to a purchase.
