The village is located 12 km south of Varna . It is situated in an ecologically clean region on the very top of a hill providing a magnificent panoramic view. The village is very popular among foreigners. Many, especially those coming from England, have chosen this location to establish their permanent home.

The village itself is very small and quaint, surrounded by a thick forest, numerous vineyards and hills that spread out towards the horizon. It is the perfect rural settlement preserved with its traditions and quiet peace. It is perfectly normal for the locals to engage in small farming initiatives, agriculture, poultry farming, cattle herding and craft making. There are plenty of opportunities for hunting tourism and fishing since there are a number of lakes in the region as well as thick natural forests. The sea and the beach are only within a 10 minute drive from the village. There are two beaches nearby - one is in Veteran area and the other is in Kamchia resort, where already large investments have been made. The coastline in both locations is wide with fine, white sand and the water is crystal clean and very warm in the summer season.
