 Pamporovo, the pearl of all Bulgarian mountain resorts, is situated in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountains, 260 km from the capital Sofia, 85 km south of Plovdiv and 15 km from Smolyan. One day on the ski runs of Pamporovo is enough to get you a lovely sun tan, as its name of one of the sunniest mountain resorts in Bulgaria is well deserved – here the sunny days of the year are more than 240. The climate is mild, with strong Mediterranean influence. The average year temperature is 8,5°С, and the thickness of the snow layer is 140 – 150 cm. The resort altitude is 1 650 m, with its highest peak being Snezhanka – 1 926 m.  Neither the extreme weather changes, nor the avalanches are typical for Pamporovo, and in this way your peace and safety during the holiday are guaranteed. If you haven’t learned how to ski thus far, don’t worry– the ski-schools in Pamporovo are some of the best in Europe! Highly qualified ski instructors teach beginners in groups or individually. The ski runs in Pamporovo are with different levels of difficulty, so regardless whether you are beginners or experienced skiers, skiing down remains an unforgettable pleasure.

Bulgarian Property Sector To Post Even Growth In 2008, According To Deyan Kavrukov 14/03/2008
Bulgaria ranked third in the world in terms of property price growth in 2007. Average sale real estate prices rose by 36 per cent last year, whereas rentals posted a more modest mark-up of 6 to 7 per cent nationwide, reaching 10 per cent in Sofia. Property Investment Profitability In Bulgaria Decreases Nearly Twice 11/03/2008
Profitability of real estate deals in Bulgaria decreased nearly twice since 2002, research of Creditex showed. Creditex representative Krasimir Goumnishki said that a 100 sq m apartment in Sofia’s residential district of Mladost brought nine per cent profitability in 2002, which had now fallen to 4.11 per cent. The same tendency was valid for all of Sofia’s residential districts, Goumnishki said. According to the research, the returns that companies advertised for coastal property were highly exaggerated.
