TetevenTeteven municipality is located in Lovech region, north-west Bulgaria. The municipality borders the 10 municipalities of Lovech , Sofia and Plovdiv. These are the municipalities Yablanitsa, Lukovit, Ugarchin,Troyan, Karlovo, Anton, Pirdop, Zlatitsa, Etropole and Pravets. Although it shares borders with the Municipality Karlovo, Anton Zlatitsa and Pirdop practical with these municipalities there are no direct transport links and there is no direct exchange of travelers and goods. The municipality is the third in population in this region after Lovech and Troyan. The population density is 35.6 persons per square km, twice lower than the average density for the country - 70.28 persons per sqkm. The population of the municipality is about 25,000 people and the town Teteven - about 12 000 people.
