57 Construction Units At The Seaside Will Be Demolished 14/03/2008
Bulgaria's Directorate for National Construction Supervision (DNCS), which started inspecting the legality of completed and ongoing construction along the Black Sea coastline on February 25, has already issued orders for the demolition of 57 units. Twenty five of them are on the north coastline and 32  are along the southern coast, the institution announced on its website. Аccording to the Spatial Planning of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coastline Act, which entered into force on January 1 2008, all entities erecting illegal constructions on the beaches were obliged  to voluntarily demolish them within a month of the law coming into effect. Commercial Property Market In Bulgaria To Grow By 300 Per Cent 11/03/2008
The commercial property market in Bulgaria is expected to grow by 300 per cent in the next three to five years, Colliers Bulgaria real estate agency head Atanas Garov said. Garov took part in a conference linked to the upcoming Balkan Property exhibition (BalPex), investor.bg reported. All sectors of the property market had been developing dynamically and investment was expected to increase in the next years, Garov said. The real estate market is growingly orienting toward building the so-called “closed type” complexes, namely such offering many amenities in one place. The trend is pervasive and is in place at the seaside, mountains and Sofia alike, Ivan Goranov, the co-manager of Home4You consultancy, said in an interview on October 12 with Focus news agency. Mixeduse Development To Sprawl On Site Of Former Ramstore In Zapaden Park 31/03/2008
A modern office and retail centre will spring up on the site of the former Ramstore hypermarket in Sofia’s Zapaden Park (Western Park) neighbourhood, Dnevnik daily reported. The project, which is still in an incipient stage, is developed by the plot-owner - Israeli national Ori Niv and his company On Bulgaria. Niv told Dnevnik that he had already designed the office project. Niv acquired the land from Turkish retailer Migros, who owns Ramstore chain, in February 2007 for 8.5 million euro.   The future compound, to be named Ramstore Business centre, will comprise office and retail space.
