Bulgaria Gets Originality Prize At Kitf 2008 26/04/2008
The prize for most original counter was given to the representative of the Bulgarian state agency on tourism after the official opening ceremony of the 8th Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair (KITF) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event will be held 24-26 April 2008. At the Bulgarian counter which is situated on an area of 32 sq. m besides the Agency of tourism, the tour operators “Bulgaria VIP tours” Ltd., “Solvex” Ltd. and “On Travel Bulgaria” are also presented. KITF is a prestigious exhibition, which is the most significant event in the region of Central Asia. It is conducted for the eight time and is organized by the British company ITE. KITF 2008 expects more than 30.000 visitors from all over Central Asian region. more

Office Space In Bulgarias Capital Increases To Nearly 600 000 Sq M In First Half Of 2007 12/03/2008
Office space in Sofia increased by ten per cent in the first half of 2007, compared to the same period of 2006. Research from Colliers International Bulgaria showed that Sofia now had a total of 606.500 sq m of class A and B office space. According to the report, most of the office space in Sofia was located in the city’s suburbs. Currently more than 330 000 sq m of office space is being constructed in the suburbs. Rental prices continued increasing in the first half of 2007. In the suburbs, rent for class A property varies between 12 and 26 euro per sq m, per month. The office space market is growing, but it is mainly driven by companies’ relocations and expansion rather than new international entrants in the country, Colliers Bulgaria Managing Director Atanas Garov said. more

Rents In Bulgarias Capital Rose By Four Per Cent In Three Months 12/03/2008
Average residential rental prices in Sofia rose by nearly four per cent between the beginning of June and the end of August 2007, according to Industry Watch (IW) research. Small apartments in Sofia had the highest rental price per sq m, investor.bg reported. The selling price per sq m of small apartments is higher than that of large apartments. Small apartments are preferred in both the cheap and the more expensive market segment, given that costs such as heating make it more expensive to live in a bigger apartment. more

Belgian Investors Gather On Business Forum In Plovdiv 02/04/2008
More than 16 Belgian firms, which have invested over 60 million BGN (30 million EUR) in Plovidv and the region, were invited on a common meeting, initiated by Belgian ambassador for Bulgaria Philippe Beke and Plovdiv mayor Slavcho Atanasov. The companies present the interest of different branches as brewery, construction, textile industry, high technology products, service, trade with freeze foods, machine construction and others. Accent during the meeting was put over the conditions of business development in Plovdiv and the region. The investors give high estimate to Plovdiv potential with a view to its location and the population for attracting more investments. Property Forum To Take Place In Bulgarias Capital 09/03/2008
From October 12 to 14 Sofia would host the biggest European property forum for the year, the European congress of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) and the Central European Real Estate Associations Network (CEREAN). Topics that would be discussed during the forum include the property market in Europe and its main trends until 2010, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. Participants would also examine the development of the real estate market in Bulgaria and the Balkan region. Finding funding for property deals, the influence of investment trusts, taxation and legal problems related to property purchase would also feature among the topics of discussion, BTA reported. more
