100,000 Danish Tourists Expected In Bulgaria This Summer 24/04/2008
The number of Danish tourists in Bulgaria this summer will reach 100, 000 people, the Danish ambassador for Bulgaria Kore Erhard Janson prognosticated. Mr. Janson attends a official ceremony of the new honourable council of Denmark in Varna. Main demand of the tourists is security, the diplomat pointed out. In his words this problem will be main theme of discussion on the forthcoming meeting between Bulgarian Foreign Ministry representatives and the Scandinavian countries ambassadors. The interest of the Danes towards investments in property in Bulgaria is very big, ambassador Janson declared. According to him his compatriots buy mostly vacation estate on the Black Sea.  more

Bulgaria Moves Three Places Ahead On Competitiveness 14/10/2008
Bulgaria moves three places ahead - from 79th to 76th position in the classification for global competitiveness for 2008-2009 at the World economic forum.This was announced by the Center for economic development (CED) - official partner of the Forum, cited by Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.The report for global competitiveness is a study of the state of economies in over 130 countries in the world. CED points out that Bulgaria has the worst position in comparison to all the rest European Union countries. more

New Tourism Complex To Be Built In Bulgarias Sandanski 12/03/2008
Bulgaria’s tourism investment company Royal Holidays will construct a complex in the town of Sandanski. The complex, called Sun Dance, will be completed by the autumn of 2007, Dnevnik daily said. Its official opening will be held in October 2007. Sun Dance will consist of a four-star hotel and nearly 60 apartments located in 10 houses. The hotel will dispose of six one-bed rooms, 66 two-bed rooms and eight apartments, lobby bar, restaurant, conference centre, night bar, spa centre and casino. Each house will have six apartments, located on two floors, Dnevnik said. The apartments’ area will vary from 63 to 120 sq m. Royal Holidays owns several big touris, complexes, mainly in Bulgaria ’s mountain resorts. more

Grandiose Golf Resort Project In Banya Starts Within A Month 14/03/2008
Banya Golf and SPA Resort Jsc (BGSR), controlled by Bulgaria’s energy tycoon Hristo Kovachki, has recently deposited its full contribution due to the joint enterprise with Karlovo municipality, which will realise Banya golf resort project, Nikolai Petkov, chairman of Karlovo municipal council, said, as quoted by expert.bg. This means that construction of the ambitious enterprise, which would comprise golf courses and vacation villages, can start within a month. Kovachki’s private company was chosen among others to develop the project because its bid was the highest, promising a 60 million euro investment. Danish Company То Build A Wind Generator Park In Bulgaria 14/10/2008
A wind-generator park for 150 million euro will be built in Stara Planina above the village of Dulgi del, Georgi Damiyanovo municipality by the Danish company "Greentech". This announced the mayor of the municipality Dilyan Dimitrov, cited by BNR.It is expected by the end of October the company to obtain the construction permit. The municipality and the investor have registered a joint company which to construct the park.The local administration participates with an apport installment of land. It has provided 57 places, 2 decares each, on the mountain ridge at an altitude of around 1500 m.In each of the places a wind generator will be constructed with a power of 4 MWh.
