168 Million Invested In Mall Construction In Bulgarias Capital 10/03/2008
A new trade centre will be constructed in Sofia’s Malinova Dolina residential district opposite Business Park Sofia. Investment will total 168 million euro, the investor in the project Forum Sofia Ltd said as quoted by investor.bg. Trade centre Forum Sofia will cover an area of 170 000 sq m. It will be a mixed trade entertainment centre 88 000 sq m of which will be given for rent. Construction works are expected to start by the end of 2007. The project executor is Dutch company Multi Development. The complex includes a large furniture shop, a hypermarket, and many other shops and entertainment places. The average credit have increased with 44, 33%, CreditCenter data shows. Fortunately for Bulgaria, the interest towards the tourism stand of our country on the tourism expo ' Intourmarket 2008' in Moscow was much higher than the one towards the stands of Greece and Turkey. Environmentalists Protest Against 5 Billion Euro Projects 14/03/2008
An NGO contested in Brussels 50 large EU-funding investment projects for Eastern Europe that have been approved and started. Six of these projects are in Bulgaria and are at the total cost of 5.12 billion euro, said sources from Friends of the Earth - Europe. The NGO believes these projects are harmful to the environment and billions of euro will be wasted. Some of the contested projects in Bulgaria are the construction of Lyulin motorway that will cut across Kresna Gorge, waste management facilities in Sofia, expansion of Sofia airport and construction of Belene NPP. In lines with Sofia's garbage problems, the environmentalists said it is important that a new dumpsite should be found and that garbage should be collected selectively and investments be made for their recycling.... more
 
 
Belgian Firm To Invest 120m Euro In Bulgaria Report 17/03/2008
Belgian company Etex Group plans to invest more than 120 million euro in Bulgaria, Pari daily reported on March 17. Initially, the firm will pour 20 million euro in developing a large warehouse for building materials and the next phase envisages the construction of a 100 million euro plant.
