Bulgaria's December Jobless Rate Down By 2.21%

Unemployment in Bulgaria stood at 6.91% in December, down by 2.21% from a year earlier, but up from November, the national employment agency said.

The jobless rate marks a slight increase of 0.29% over the previous month, which is traditional for the end of the year.

The total number of Bulgarians registered with the unemployment agency at the end of the year was 255 910, a 4.3% increase over the previous month.

The jobless rate for the whole year averaged 7.75%, down by 1.86 % from 2006.simplibulgaria.com
