Austria's Investment Appetites In Bulgaria

An Austrian business delegation arrived on a visit to the Bulgaria Danube town of Vidin. The Austrian trade chamber together with its foreign trade representations in Bucharest and Sofia organize a trip with a ship on the Danube from Jelezni vrata. Serbia to Constanta, Romania under the leadership of the vice-president of the Austrian trade chamber Rihard Schentz and the Austrian vice-minister of economy and labour Joseph Meyer.The aim of this trip is to get first hand information about the possibilities for investment in the region of the Danube river and to make personal contacts with representatives of the regional and central authorities.More than a month ago, representatives of the Austrian-Bulgarian company "Markan development" held talks with the mayor office of the town of Rousse for its investment intentions in the Danube town.The company specializes in the development of big infrastructural projects and is a leading construction company. Potential investors shared that Rousse is from the dynamically developing Bulgarian towns with suitable economic climate and extraordinary geographic situation, writes ipo.bg.The company will invest in a Specialized trade center, which it will project and construct. The complex will be an urban infrastructure, comprising of a certain number of one-story buildings with a common parking lot.Moreover, in June a meeting was held in the Ministry of transport and communication between the vice-minister Milcho Milanov and an Austrian business delegation, headed by Hermann Ortner - trade counselor in the Austrian embassy in Bulgaria.The Austrian business delegation includes representatives of the companies "Beeren Baterie", "Rohe Bulgaria", "Rehau", "Geoconsult", "Wa-Tech Bulgaria", which have interest in the field of transport and communication with their main aim being the setting of business contracts with Bulgarian companies, working in that direction.During the meeting the Austrians have made a small presentation of their activity and have expressed their interest in important infrastructural projects in Bulgaria.Currently the Austrian companies, seeking investment opportunities in Bulgaria, are in the field of industry, services, communal cleaning, transport, measurement equipment, construction industry, communication strategies, medicines.
