New Control Tower At Sofia Airport By 2011 26/08/2008 The new control tower of Sofia airport must be ready in 2010 or no later than 2011, the Director of RVD (Administration of Air Traffic) Emanuil Radev announced.On August 4 a jury of 15 members has chosen a project for the flight tower at an open anonymous competition. First place takes the project of "Arhitektonika studio" OOD which will receive the sum of 20,000 levs.The choice of consultant and executors is forthcoming. The contract with the consultant is expected to be signed by the end of August. German 'plus' Plans To Invest 250 M Eur In Bulgaria Till 2011 28/03/2008Plus, part of Germany's Tengelmann group, plans to complete a E250m investment in Bulgaria by 2011, according to corporate communications officer Nicole Dinter. The company plans to build a logistics centre and develop a network of 150 stores across Bulgaria within a five-year period from its entry into the country in 2006. "We intend to open our logistics platform near Sofia in the first quarter of 2009," Dinter said. "At the same time [in the first quarter of 2009] we intend to open approximately 30 discount stores across Bulgaria."
