Evromarket To Invest 160m Euro In Eight Industrialcommercial Parks 21/04/2008
Evromarket Group plans to invest 160 million euro in eight industrial-commercial parks that would be built over the next two years, Dnevnik daily reported on April 18 2008. Work on the first project, in Plovdiv, will start this summer, the company said. It will cost 20 million euro to build and will have a built-up area of 50 000 sq m. Industrial-commercial parks are mixed-use developments with office bulidings, warehouses, stores and exhibition spaces. Evromarket plans to build parks with a built-up area of between 30 000 and 100 000 sq m. "It's a new concept for the Bulgarian market. The idea is for every customer to have an office, a show-room and a warehouse, all in one place," the company said. Foreign investments in the sphere of real estates and construction will decrease, the chairman of Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce Bojidar Danev prognosticates. A panting of local property market exists already, he said. According the Chamber's data there are 20,000 unsold apartments, and on the seaside the number is 200,000. For those apartments exist obligations and if they are nit sold we may expect series of bankrupts.
