Chepelare is located 230 km from the capital Sofia, 80 km from city of Plovdiv, 10 km from the resort of Pamporovo and only 10 km from the auto ban to Greece.

The climate is mild with distinct four seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. Chepelare is the sunniest town in Bulgaria with 270 sunny days during the year. The winter is mild, also, with average thickness of snow-cover 30-80 cm, during about 80-120 days per year. The spring is starting later than usual and the summer is breezy and fresh.

There are three ski-paths with lengths 3 000 m, 3 150 m and 5 250 meters. There is a biathlon track also with length of 5 000 meters. They are served by two-seat lifts with capacity of 700 tourists per hour.

Bulgarian Property Market May Recharge Growth Over Short Term 08/09/2008
Bulgaria's property market was treading water with holiday homes emerging as the riskiest segment, Bulgarian real estate investment fund (REIT) managers said on August 13.The ongoing fragmentation of the market will be short-lived and it should regain its brisk growth momentum within the next couple of years, according to Todor Stoyanov, second executive director at Prime Property BG, and Petar Syarov, the investor relations officer of the REIT.The holiday homes segment had been on the back foot, but demand has once again picked up over the last two months, Stoyanov said.Ski resort Bansko and sea resorts Zlatni Pyassutsi (Sunny Beach) and Sveti Vlas are the most risky property markets at the moment, the REIT's officials said. Although some European markets are marking growth, latest data on residential prices indicate that things in Europe, like in the United States, are slowing down, according to a survey published by Forbes magazine on April 1.
