Builders Interest Has Shifted To The Southern Coastline 14/03/2008
After Sluntchev Bryag (Sunny Beach)'s beach-front was tightly built-up and plots near Bourgas-Sofia thoroughfare were burrowed for construction, building works in Sluntchev Bryag seem to have abated, Standart daily reports. Unlike in previous years, when the dawn of spring marked the start of works and the whole resort was turned into a construction site, heavy building equipment is now less prominent. Every attractive stretch of land along the coastline has been absorbed. Currently, there are 17 new buildings, which are under construction in the western part of the resort near the Bourgas-Varna road, nine of them being hotel developments. RNCOS has released a new research report on the Bulgarian banking sector, “Bulgaria Banking Sector Analysis”, which says that the housing mortgage loans is one the fastest growing markets for the banking industry of Bulgaria, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of nearly 88% from 2007 to 2010. According to the report, the Bulgarian housing mortgage loans experienced high growth in recent years at a CAGR of nearly 87% from 2004 to 2006 due to liberalization of the mortgage market, coupled with lower interest rates that made mortgage loans hugely popular in the country.
