Prices of unfinished property in Bulgaria's capital rose by 10 per cent for the first nine months of 2006, 24 Chassa newspaper reported. Prices in other big Bulgarian cities also rose by five to seven per cent. Unfinished property prices at the seaside increased by seven per cent, 24 Chassa said. First Ecoinnovation Hotel Constructed In Bulgaria 13/03/2008
The first eco-innovation hotel in Southeastern Europe will be constructed in the Bulgarian village of Zdravkovets. Hilltop hotel will feature wind mills, local purifying devices and the utilisation of rainwater. A monitoring system will indicate the quantity of electricity produced and consumed at the hotel, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. Time foundation is among the project executors, foundation representative Elena Petkova said. It takes part in the public-private partnership behind the project that was created in 2006. Gabrovo municipality and two foreign companies are also taking part in the project. The market of mortgaged residential and commercial property in 2007 experienced a slight decrease as compared to sales figures for 2006. The most frequent reason for the sale of mortgaged properties is the inability of owners to pay their monthly installments, investor.bg reported. Only 30 mortgaged properties are currently offered on the market in Sofia and their number in the past six months remains unchanged. Sufficient demand for mortgaged property was registered in the coastal cities of Bourgas and Varna in the middle of 2006. Such offers are missing in 2007. Pamporovo Resort To Invest 13m Leva In Ski Lift 10/03/2008
Pamporovo AD, the company that manages Pamporovo resort in Bulgaria, plans to extend its ski area to the village of Stoikite with the construction of three-kilometre six-seater chair lift. It has already received the environmental impact assessment from the environment ministry and estimates the costs of the project at 13 million leva, investor.bg said. The lift will service two new ski runs with a total length of seven kilometres, which will be built in 2008. The project is part of the wider plans to connect the ski zones in Chepelare, Pamporovo and Perelik, investor.bg said.
