Another Largescale Property Investment In Bulgarias Kavarna 14/03/2008
Bulgaria's Linexa Property plans a 20 million euro investment in a new residential complex to be constructed in Bulgaria's coastal town of Kavarna. On July 6 Kavarna mayor Tsonko Tsonev revealed the plans for the new complex to be constructed near a golf course, SeeNews reported. Construction work had already began and the 420-apartment complex would be completed within two years, Tsonev said. The complex is the latest in a series of large-scale UK, Spanish and French investment over the past years. Some of the projects include the construction of a golf course, hotels and holiday villages. The increased interest in Kavarna property resulted in a record income from land deal taxes. Equest Divests Of Former Serdika Hotel 18/05/2008
Days after real estate investment trust Equest Balkan Properties announced that it would sell some of its assets in Bulgaria and other neighbouring countries, it announced that it had sold the former Hotel Serdika to Uniqa Real Estate, the real estate subsidiary of Austrian insurer Uniqa, Dnevnik daily reported on May 15. Equest managing partner Georgi Kroumov confirmed the news but declined to specify the value of the transaction until the deal was finalised. A 25 years old internet magnate Daniel Cvetkov with Bulgarian origin has bought one of the most expensive real estates in whole Australia. The millionaire Cvetkov have paid 28 million Australian Dollars (26 million USD) for the enormous housing, which will be the biggesdt building when finished of the Golden Shore stripe, famous as the ‘Millionaire Street'. When completely constructed, the building will be estimated on 50 to 70 million USD. Cvetkov has a Bulgarian origin, but was born in  Ipswich. House Price Increase In Bulgaria Highest For Europe, Second Worldwide 30/04/2008
According to data published by Globalpropertyguide.com, house price increases in Europe over the past year ending in Q4 of 2007, were highest in Bulgaria. Bulgarian houses increased by 34.61 per cent, closely followed by Poland with a 33 per cent increase. House prices in Estonia increased by 23.38 per cent. Prices in Sweden, Lithuania, Cyprus and Estonia increased by between 11 and 19 per cent. Increases in other European countries were in the single digit range, with Portugal, Latvia and Ireland reporting house price decreases. According to investor.bg, only Shanghai reported a higher house price increase, at 35.4 per cent.
