The number of Danish tourists visiting Bulgaria is going to reach 100 000 in 2008. The prediction was made by the Danish Ambassador to Bulgaria Kaare E. Janson in the Black Sea city of Varna. His Excellency participated at a ceremony inaugurating the new Denmark's honorary consul to Varna Konstantin Daradanov, which took place in the Evksinograd Residence of the Bulgarian government. Janson pointed out that safety was the main requirement of the Danish tourists. In his words, the safety issue would be one of the main topics of the coming meeting of Bulgarian Foreign Ministry officials with the Ambassadors of the Scandinavian states. City Development Acquires Properties Worth 193 000 Euro In Sofia 14/03/2008
Bulgarian real estate investment trust City Development REIT said it agreed to buy several properties in Sofia for 193 000 euro, with a view to subsequent sale, the company said in a filing with Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). The company bought two garages, a fitness hall and a shop, which it hoped to sell for a combined profit of 87 000 euro. The garages were purchased at 11 989 euro and 13 186 euro and the minimum sale price of the first one is stipulated at 15 144 euro. The second one will be sold for no less than 16 656 euro. The purchase price of the fitness hall is 89 338 euro and the sale price is set at no less than 132 065 euro. The shop is acquired at 78 373 euro and will be sold at 115 855 euro in the least. Spanish construction company Bogaris, formerly known as Grupo Detea, would invest 15 million euro in the industrial park in Slatina area of Rousse, local authorities said, as quoted by Dnevnik daily. The company would design and build manufacturing, storage and office premises, Dnevnik daily reported. High demand and migration processes resulted in a 12.5 per cent increase in the price of real estate in Sofia in 2006 Katya Tsenova, executive director of Address real estate agency said. Prices increased the most in the residential districts of Mladost, Lyulin, Geo Milev, Redouta, Druzhba and the city centre, Focus news agency said. Property in the coastal city of Bourgas registered the lowest increase in 2006 prices, 7.42 per cent, while the increase in Varna was 10.33 per cent. Focus reported that nearly one billion sq m of agricultural land were sold in 2006. Only 600 million sq m of such land were sold in 2005. Property deals involving Russian citizens doubled in 2006. Russians preferred mainly closed-type property complexes with luxurious lodgings on the Black Sea... more
