Business Property Developments Gain Popularity In Bulgaria 11/03/2008
Investor interest in business property in Bulgaria grows. Most investors plan developments like retail centres,  real estate agents said. Bulgaria faces numerous problems related to retail and office space, investor.bg reported. Figures for Bulgaria show that 160 sq m of retail space is available in Bulgaria per 1000 people. In comparison, 1000 people in Poland enjoy 520 sq m of  trade area. Concerning office space, the situation is similar. An employee should have on the average 22 sq m of office space. In Bulgaria, employees have only eight sq m. Bulgaria also lacks storage facilities meeting the international standards. The problem is similar concerning logistics centres. Fewer property deals have been finalised in the Danube cities of Rousse, Vidin and Silistra since the beginning of the year, according to local real estate agencies, as quoted by website investor.bg.Supply exceeding demand, unfavourable credit terms and overpriced offers are among the factors responsible for the stagnant market, according to agencies.In Vidin, real estate prices have increased by between 10 and 15 per cent and the average price of residential property is 500 euro a sq m. According to the local agency Erastroi, the most desirable properties are three and four-bedroom apartments sized 80-120 sq m.Previous reports had indicated that prices in Rousse have seen considerable hikes. Foreign capital that Bulgarian property attracted with the quickly rising prices is moving to other countries, offering different opportunities. Companies that remain actively involved are ready to wait patiently and develop properties, while searching for strategic investors, Dnevnik newspaper reported. Though the price of some terrains double-jumped in one year, a slowdown is starting to settle in. The price increase for office property and trade areas fell below 10 per cent, analysers said. Bulgaria Still In Top 10 Of The German Tourists 17/04/2008
Bulgaria is the only Eastern European country entered in the classification for preferred by the Germans tourism destinations. Their favorites are Spain and Mallorca. This was announced in the analyze agency ‘GIATA-Ranking', informed from local Union of Investors in Tourism. According to the agency Bulgaria ranks 9th. Bulgaria has improved its factor from 1.7 to 2.2 compared to March 2007. Turkey and Greece are first in the classification followed by Egypt, Germany, Italy, Tunis and Thailand.
