Prices of property in Bulgaria's small towns and regions with population of less than 100 000 people were increasing, a National Real Property Association (NRPA) representative told Darik Radio. Prices of agriculture plots would continue rising in the coming years, the NRPA representative said. Currently prices averaged 100 leva a 1000 sq m. The rise in the land price resulted from Bulgaria's expected EU accession and from the emerging of investment funds interested in Bulgaria's agricultural land, NRPA said. Bld To Shed Winter, Seaside Projects In Bulgaria 24/09/2008
Residential property developer Bulgarian Land Development (BLD) said it has put up for sale its holiday projects Riverland in the western ski resort of Borovets and July Morning in Kavarna, on the northernmost Black Sea coast.The fund is pressed to sell by shareholders demanding bigger profits and better return on equity, BLD executive director Dimitar Savov said, adding that the projects have attracted prospective buyers from Russia and the Middle East.BLD raised its 40 million pounds on the alternative segment of the London Stock Exchange. Laxey Partners Acquires A Larger Share In A Bulgarian Fund 14/03/2008
Laxey Partners investment company increased its stake in the London Stock Exchange-listed Bulgarian Land Development Plc (BLD) investment fund by purchasing 2.11 million shares, totalling 5.75 million shares or 14.37 per cent, fund’s officials told investor.bg. BLD representatives were not available for a comment. As previously reported, Laxey Partners has recently announced that it is considering the establishment of a fund, aimed at investing 660 million euro in undervalued companies and property funds across Europe. The new fund, Terra Catalyst, was listed on the alternative investment market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) earlier this week. Irish Air Lingus To Fly Dublin Sofia 19/06/2008
Irish low-cost airliner Aer Lingus announced it would start a new twice weekly service between Dublin and Sofia for its winter 2008 schedule, along with new services to Hamburg, Newcastle,Salzburg and Agadir . In addition, the company will increase the frequency of flights to a number of other European destinations, a company media statement said. Aer Lingus currently operates a flight to the Black Sea resort of Bourgas, which was launched earlier this year. 35 'couples' Bulgarian and Russian cities have established working collaboration, and among 70 cities in common there are signed similar contracts during the last 10 years. That was announced during the 5th meeting of the fraternized cities between Bulgaria and Russia. Russia is not among the Top 10 investors in Bulgaria and the tourists' interest toward our country is far from the level of 17 years ago. The both countries face the problem with the visa regime and the relations on interregional level. 70 representatives of 8 ‘couples' fraternized Bulgarian and Russian cities attend the forum.
