Investment Return From Property In Bulgaria Goes Down 11/03/2008
The overall annual return from investments in Bulgarian property decreased to 44 per cent from the 104 per cent several months ago, a report of assetz.com said. Investors should take into consideration the slowdown and practical halt of market growth and the increasing competition in the rental market, Assetz warned. The annual property price increase slowed down from 36 per cent to 17.8 per cent and the prices rose by only 1.6 per cent, the report said. Only long-term investment would provide returns in the coming five to 10 years, because low prices would attract buyers, an Assetz representative said. Immediate investment return, however, should not be expected, the report said. more

Sparkassen Immobilien, the real estate arm of Austria’s Erste Bank, plans to invest up to 300 million euro in Bulgaria over the next two to three years, Friedrich Wahernig, member of Sparkassen Immobilien board of directors said on June 11. Its focus in the medium-term would be office and retail space. Additionally, Sparkassen Immobilien has remained keen on financing real estate projects in the region, Wahernig said. The company plans to divest of real estate investments in Western Europe and invest in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria included. Logistics Park Varna Gets Bulgarias First Class Investor Certificate 11/03/2008
Logistics Park Varna got a first class investor certificate on April 25. The centre is being set up in the industrial zone of the coastal city of Varna. Upon completion it will have built up area of over 80 000 sq m. The centre will have storage areas, office space and retail centres meeting international requirements. FairPlay International and Bulgarian Property Developments feature among the project investors. Construction works started a month ago, mediapool.bg reported. The project will be carried out in three phases. According to plans, the first phase should end by March 2008. First class investor certificates guarantee companies state aid for infrastructure developments related to the project. more
